7 Side Hustle Ideas that You Might Never Have Thought about

Have you ever thought about a side hustle to make extra money? Have you tried some but not been successful? In this post, I will tell you different areas of side hustles that you might never have thought about. Some help you make money by working online from home and some give you an opportunity to meet many people. Some bring you passive income and some bring you an interesting job. Sounds exciting?!? Let’s start!!

1. Personal Shopper

There are a lot of people who don’t have enough time or understanding of the market to purchase all essentials for their own lives. Then they need a trusted personal shopper. If you’re a fan of shopping, why not start a personal shopping service for others? While the kids are at school or in the evening, you can work this as a part-time or full-time job. Anything you know about can become an object for you to shop for others: cosmetics, clothing, pharmacies, food, and so on. As a personal shopper, you can help customers select the best product for their needs.

2. Personal Chef

Are you an excellent cook? If so, there’s a great side hustle opportunity for you out there. You might work as a personal chef for someone. Many foodies hire personal chefs to have more authentic and home-cooked food instead of eating out. Such opportunities are available to you. You can publicize your service using search engines, social media platforms, and other channels. If you are a skilled cook, you can actually build your name through this side business and use it to advance your profession as a chef later on.

3. Selling Custom Art

Custom Art (also known as customized/personalized art) is pieces of art that are made to be unique to each client. It could be a dog statue in memory of a lost dog. It could be a wedding gift with the bride and groom’s name on it. A hand-drawn family portrait is also a wonderful idea. You may find tons of innovative ideas on Pinterest or Etsy. If you have a talent for an art form, find a way to turn it into custom art and welcome custom orders. These creations will be far more valuable than a mass art piece and will bring you a huge amount of money.

4. Hosting an Experience on Airbnb

If you’ve ever used Airbnb to find a place to stay while on vacation, you’re probably already familiar with it. With Airbnb, travelers can feel more at ease and have a more authentic experience while vacationing. In addition to staying like a local, Airbnb Experiences allows guests to experience local life. If you’re a local expert, it might be a good idea to become an Airbnb Experiences host.

These are some ideas for you to consider:

  • Food tours: If you know all the best local restaurants, cafes, and hidden gems, you could host a food tour.
  • Pub crawl: Do you love microbreweries? Do you fancy tasting your city’s brews, ales, and spirits? Then you could arrange a pub crawl and show tourists all your favorite local bars and breweries.
  • Yoga class: Create a unique yoga experience at a city landmark like y oga on the beach or in a park with a view of the city skyline.
  • Photoshoots for engagement, pre-wedding, and honeymoon: If you’re a wedding or lifestyle photographer, you might provide these services to tourists visiting your city. In cities where honeymoons are popular, this may be a lucrative business opportunity.
  • Instagram tour: Take guests on an Instagram-worthy tour of the city to help them take the best selfies. If you’re a street photographer or an avid Instagrammer, this could be a terrific way to make money.

Once you’ve figured out what kind of experience service you can provide, add it to the details of your Airbnb experience listing. As soon as it’s approved, start getting ready for your first guests!

5. Creating and Selling Printable on Etsy

If you have design talent, this is an excellent way to create passive income on the Internet.

Printables are documents that users may print and use. People today seek support in organizing, planning, and other duties, and they are purchasing printables to make these tasks easier. You can make the following printables:

  • Calendars
  • Budget sheets
  • Coloring pages (for kids and adults)
  • Work/finance/diet/meal planners, etc.
  • Tracking sheets (of weight loss, debt repayment…)
  • Travelling checklist
  • Worksheets
  • Invitations

and much more!

The first advantage of this side hustle is that you do not need to be a graphic or desktop designer to do this. Instead, you can use tools to make the process easier.

The second advantage is that it provides you with passive income. You develop it once and profit from it repeatedly.

The quickest and easiest approach to begin selling your printable is to open an Etsy store, which is a popular platform for many different types of printables. Fiverr and Creative Market are two other online marketplaces where you may sell your printable.

6. Voice Talent

You may make money from the home with your voice. In reality, getting money from home through your voice isn’t really that hard.

You can work as voice-overs for Youtube videos, commercial videos, podcasts, audiobooks, ads…  This can be done at home with a good microphone, soundproofing, and audio editing software. Bear in mind that the industry is quite competitive, so keep practicing to polish your skill. Make a portfolio of voice-over demos that you may use to pitch your services to new clients.

7. Collecting

To others, collecting may sound like hoarding. It is, however, a type of investment for those who enjoy collecting. Because of this, they are confident that their collection will be worth a lot of money in the future. If you want to be a professional collector and make money, you should learn about ways to sell it like selling at an auction, selling on eBay, Craiglist, or other classifieds.

There is no one-size-fits-all side hustle. It varies from person to person based on their interests, abilities, time, etc. With a little bit of research, you may find a side job that fits your financial needs and your schedule.
